I bought the Sophie Conran measuring cups well into my sixth decade of home cooking, and was amazed at just how quickly they became absolutely essential! The quickest and tidiest way to lightly brown garlic in butter, in the microwave. A way to get all the finicky ingredients - herbs, spices, chopped parsley etc. - for a recipe lined up and ready beside the stove. A way to save a mixed leftover condiment (like beet horseradish and mayo for a seafood dip), with a silicone cover on it in the fridge. a nice way to serve dipping sauces right at the table - they are attractive tableware too. And of course, a way to measure very small amounts, that are hard to read in a regular measuring cup. The design is simple and beautiful; if I was starting out, I'd consider buying the whole line as my dinnerware.
These measuring cups are the perfect addition to my Sophie Conran collection, very pretty.
